William Fredrick Cooper. An ordinary guy trying to make a difference in life, he was in Brooklyn, reared on Staten Island, and presently resides in New Jersey. The proud father of a lovely daughter named Maranda, Mr. Cooper is an active member of First Corinthians Baptist church in Harlem New York, and the acting Secretary of Brother 2 Brother Symposium, Inc., a program that encourages black men and young adults to read fiction literature. Affectionately known as “Mr. Romance,” Not only has Mr. Cooper known for his enlightening radio interviews through the United States and Canada, he served as host, executive producer, guest speaker and moderator/facilitator to many literary events, of which includes the 2004 Harlem Book Fair, the 2004 Disilgold Unity Literary Awards Show, the Bring Your Book To Life Seminar/Music concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the 2006 Erotica Lounge and Lingerie show in conjunction with the African American Literary and Media Group Seminar, held in Reno Nevada.

His first novel, Six Days In January, was published in February 2004 by Strebor Books. A groundbreaking piece of literature that explores the heart of an African-American man damaged by love, the novel received rave reviews in major periodicals in the United States, Canada, Bermuda and the United Kingdom.

In July 2006, Mr. Cooper and his novel ‘Six Days In January’ appeared in “After The Breakup: Get Over it and Get On With Your Life.”, a feature article in the July Issue Of EBONY Magazine.

His current novel, There’s Always A Reason, appeared on the Black Expressions Book Club Bestsellers List in August of 2007 and Essence Magazine Bestsellers list in April of 2008. Described by many in the African-American Community as a message-delivering emotional masterpiece, There’s Always A Reason was nominated for an African-American Literary Award in September of 2007, a finalist for a 2008 NAACP Image Award Nomination in the Outstanding Literary Work Fiction Category, and the recipient of four Infini Literary Awards, including Book of The Year.

Mr. Cooper is a contributing author to several anthologies. “Legal Days, Lonely Nights” appeared in Zane’s Sistergirls.com, “Watering Cherry’s Garden” was a story for Twilight Moods- African American Erotica, “Snowy Moonlit Evenings” was composed for Journey to Timbooktu, a collection of poetry and prose, as compiled by Memphis Vaughnes, and “More and More”, as well as “Sweet Dreams” were in included in Morning, Noon and Night: Can’t Get Enough – a collection of erotic fiction. “Te Deseo” was a contribution to in Zane’s New York Times Bestselling anthology ‘Caramel Flava’, published by Simon and Schuster in August 2006. “Dear Zane: A Lust Letter From A Fan.” appeared as an extra piece in the Zane non-fiction book “Dear G-Spot: Straight Talk about Sex And Love”, released by Atria Books in July 2007. “No One Has To Know” an erotic duet with Jessica Tilles, appeared in Erogenous Zone: A Sexual Voyage in August of 2007.
